Meet Veronica

I am Veronica Gonzalez, the founder and creative mind behind Evettro Art in Glass, which is based in Long Beach California. After working as a government scientist for 20+ years, I decided to pursue my passion for art in 2011, discovering glass as my medium. I was fortunate to train under the tutelage of master craftsmen, mastering the technique of designing, cutting, foiling, beveling, soldering, installing, fusing and coldworking glass. Later I refined my technique with pioneers like Patty Gray, Richard Parrish, and Kent Lauer. In 2015, I founded Evettro Art in Glass, blending my scientific notions, with artistic creativity to produce high-quality glass art. My work draws inspiration from art nouveau, art deco, Bahaus, modern art, minimalism, and sustainability. Evettro has grown from a small studio into a walk-in showroom in San Pedro, California. It also expanded its presence to retail locations, including Los Angeles International Airport, local malls, museum gift shops, and the CSU-LB campus. Along the way, I was honored to receive grants like California Relief Fund 2022, Los Angeles Economic Opportunity Grant 2023, and Los Angeles Economic Equity Accelerator & Fellowship 2025.
